Things needed for Impression making:

Gloves
Putty
Trays
Mirror
Stop watch

Refigerate the putty in summers 10 minutes before you intend to make impressions

Try on trays, to make sure they fit well. Your lip should be able to cover the front of the tray to capture the front gumline

Technique:

  • Step 1 Take out one base and one catalyst
  • Step 2 Start mixing , stretch the putty out using your fingers and fold it on top of each other you have 30 seconds to make a solid blue color, no white streaks.
  • Step 3 Roll the putty out into a sausage

Now for the next 20 seconds set the tray up

  • Step 4 Setting the tray:
    Top: attatch photo
    Bottom: attatch photo
  • TIP : Make sure you push the putty all towards the edges of the tray, to capture the gumlines well.
  • Step 5 Use the mirror to centre the tray well

    TOP IMPRESIONS: Use both thumbs to push the tray up in "one go" to avoid dragging of the impression.

    BOTTOM IMPRESSION: Use both finger to push the tray down in "one go" to avoid dragging the impression
  • Step 7 For top impression, without moving your thumbs, cover the front of the tray along with the putty with your top lip and press down on your lip to capture the gumline
  • Step 8 For top impression, without moving your thumbs, cover the front of the tray along with the putty with your top lip and press down on your lip to capture the gumline
